11/27/2018- Residents needing a little extra help making the dream of homeownership a reality could find the assistance they’re looking for next year. The River Cities Habitat for Humanity is now accepting applications from families or individuals interested in becoming Habitat for Humanity homeowners during the 2018-2019 cycle. To qualify, applicants must be living in inadequate or substandard housing and have had a stable income over the past two years. Selected families must also provide at least 300 hours of sweaty equity in building their home and take classes on credit counseling and home maintenance. Since 1993, the River Cities Habitat for Humanity has built or rehabilitated 16 area homes.
