A local candidate steps forward in the race for Wisconsin’s 89th Assembly Seat. Ken Holdorf of Marinette, formerly of Kenosha, announced his intention to run for the position currently held by Representative John Nygren. Holdorf served in the US Navy for 20 years and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s in sustainable management. He is focused on veterans’ services, education, and preserving natural resources. Holdorf says his motivation to run comes from local concern surrounding water resources. He announced his candidacy for the 89th Assembly Seat on January 19th. Nygren has not yet indicated whether or not he plans to run for another term. The race will appear on the November 6th ballot.
