On Friday, November 26th at approximately 8:20pm, Deputies with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle on South Lincoln Road in the City of Escanaba. The suspect vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued. While pursuing the vehicle, the front seat passenger began throwing objects out of the window in attempt to disable the pursuing vehicles. The pursuit entered Menominee County where Officers successfully deployed “Stop Sticks”. The driver of the vehicle continued traveling southbound on 3 tires entering the City of Menominee. The pursuit then entered onto the Interstate Bridge where the driver lost control and crashed. The male driver and female passenger were both taken into custody.  The driver is a 23-year-old male from Green Bay and the passenger is a 18-year-old female from Green Bay. The male driver is charged with fleeing and eluding, possession of Methamphetamine among other charges. The 18-year-old female passenger is charged with 2 counts of obstructing justice and possession of Methamphetamine. Both subjects are currently lodged in the Delta County Correctional Facility. The Delta County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Menominee County Sheriff’s Department, City of Menominee Police, Michigan State Police. Marinette City Police and the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office.
