10/30/2018- Unemployment estimates are down in Menominee County. Last month, the local jobless rate came in at 3.4%, as compared to the 3.7% seen in August. The county’s unemployment rate in September of 2017 was noticeably higher at 4.8%. Michigan’s statewide unemployment numbers dropped, as well, falling from 3.8% in August to 3.5% in September. Joblessness in Michigan one year ago stood at 4.5%.
