08/09/2018- A plea deal is reached in a Marinette County pot-dealing case. The jury trial for 50-year-old Kurt Johnson of Daggett was scheduled to begin Monday, but Johnson instead accepted a plea offer from the State and pleaded guilty to one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver THC. In turn, the court dismissed felony Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place and misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charges. Johnson arrested last October following a traffic stop in Marinette where police allegedly found more than three-and-a half pounds of raw marijuana along with marijuana candy during a search of Johnson’s vehicle. He’s now set to be sentenced October 1st.
