Over 200 jurors sat in anticipation yesterday in the 41st Circuit Court while potential jurors awaited their turn to be questioned by Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Rogg and Defense Attorney Trent Stupak as to if they know the defendant, Brian Helfert. Helfert, who is on trial for multiple Criminal Sexual Conduct charges, sat in silence as potential jurors answered the questions brought forth by the attorneys in the days long event. However, at days end, they had not selected their jury. Day two of jury selection will begin promptly at 9am today at the Menominee County Courthouse with the Honorable Judge Mary B. Barglind presiding.
