04/17/2019- The impact of one Menominee football coach will live on through a new scholarship for graduating seniors. Former Menominee High School student athletes recently established the Ken Hofer Maroon Student Athlete Scholarship Fund in honor of long-time coach and mentor Ken Hofer. The fund was created to honor and exemplify Hofer’s guidance and support of the youth of the community. To be considered for the scholarship, students must be a Menominee High School senior with a GPA of at least 3.0, be a varsity letter winner, and be planning to attend a two- or four-year educational program. Community-mindedness and financial need will also be considered. The fund will be managed by the M-and-M Area Community Foundation. Donations are being accepted with a goal of awarding the first scholarship in the spring of 2020.
