02/27/2019- A new program in Michigan’s 108th District will recognize the region’s top teachers. Representative Beau LaFave of Iron Mountain recently launched the Outstanding Educator Award program, which encourages students, parents, and school faculty to nominate local educators who have made a meaningful impact on their community. LaFave will then select one winning educator from each Menominee, Delta, and Dickinson Counties. Nominations for the 2018-2019 school year will be accepted through April 30th on replafave.com and award winners will be announced on May 10th. LaFave says the Outstanding Educator Award program is a way of showing appreciation to those who dedicate their lives to teaching young people and letting them know that their hard work does not go unrecognized.
