A Lena woman has been charged with stealing more than $68000-worth of lottery tickets over ten months from an Oconto Falls convenience store she was employed at. 60-year-old Linda Elliott now faces six felony counts of theft and made her initial appearance in Oconto County Court earlier this month. If convicted, she could be sentenced to up to sixteen years in prison. Elliott allegedly falsified entries on the store’s lottery records to hide the thefts. She won $10000 from one ticket in November of 2016 but insists that ticket was purchased on a day off. Some of the other tickets taken won between $500 and $1000. Elliott is due back in court for a preliminary hearing August 27th.
