M&M residents turned out in a big way to support families struggling with food insecurity. The Letter Carriers’ Food Drive, which took place Saturday, May 11th, netted just shy of 16000 pounds of non-perishable food donations from both Marinette and Menominee. These donations will benefit food pantries at St. Vincent de Paul in Marinette, NEWCAP, The Salvation Army, and St. Vincent de Paul of Menominee. It’s often the largest food drive of the year for these pantries, which meet the needs of thousands of people annually. Donations were collected by postal delivery workers, as well as the Knights of Columbus and Menominee High School baseball team.
