07/25/2019- The local affordable housing ministry formerly known as River Cities Habitat for Humanity has a new name, but the same mission. The organization is now operating under the Fuller Center for Housing and will become the Fuller Center for Housing River Cities. The Fuller Center for Housing was founded in 2005 by the same couple who founded Habitat for Humanity in 1976 and seeks to provide affordable home building and repair options. Representatives with the FCH River Cities say the motivation for joining the Fuller Center comes from their emphasis on local decision-making versus a top-down approach. The Fuller Center builds and repairs homes in more than 70 U.S. communities and 20 countries worldwide.
