Shawn Haley, a distinguished Marine Corps Veteran and regional Truck Driver for Veriha Trucking, has been named one of five finalists for the 2024 Transition Trucking: Driving for Excellence Award. This award recognizes military veterans who have successfully transitioned into the trucking industry and continue to demonstrate exceptional dedication and excellence in their new careers. Haley says, “I am very humbled by the entire process. It was a shock just to be nominated by Veriha trucking.”

“When all these things come together, it makes a driver feel like their welcome, supported, and they’re not out here trying to tackle this tough job by themselves.” Says, Hays.

As one of five finalists, Shawn is now in the running to receive the keys to a brand new 2024 Kenworth T680 truck at a ceremony in Washington D.C., on December 13th.
