Marinette’s Annual Logging and Heritage Festival begins this Saturday on Stephenson Island in Marinette.  While in past years the festival was held for three days, this year the event is being held for one-day due to COVID restrictions that were previously in place. City of Marinette Mayor Steve Genisot says, “we were certainly diligent with our COVID issues last year and we did not want to go overboard this year.”

Committee co-chair Lana Bero says, “we will have children’s activities all day long.”

You can also experience a BMX Show beginning at 2pm, an Ice Cream Giveaway, various food vendors, and live music in the band shell by the Dirty Martini’s and Rosebrook… and do not forget that the Fireworks will be at Stephenson Island Saturday night at 9:30. For more information, check the City of Marinette’s website or the Logging and Heritage Festival’s Facebook page.
