A change in the decision-making blueprint for Menominee Area Public Schools will also lead to a change in the district’s leadership structure. Senior High School co-principal John Mans plans to take on the district’s superintendent position full-time to focus on developing and implementing the new strategic plan. That means the district must now seek a new Junior/Senior High School Assistant Principal. Mans says while he’s hesitant to give up his role interacting directly with students, he’s optimistic about the direction in which the school is headed.
The district’s Board of Education discussed plans to post the position at their meeting Thursday. Mans hopes to have the new assistant principal in place by July 1st.
