01/08/2019- Menominee Area Public Schools’ Board of Education’s panel of officers is in place for 2019. The board held their organizational meeting Monday night and re-elected Ken Pulver as President and Julie Hendrick as Vice President. Additionally, Mary Mathieu will continue as board Secretary and William Kakuk as Treasurer. One notable change is the decision to transition from individual monthly committee meetings to a single Committee of the Whole meeting. Superintendent John Mans says the shift is mainly about efficiency.
Mans adds the Board’s goal in 2019 is to continue to develop and implement the district’s new blueprint plan to foster student support and achievement.
MAPS Board of Education meetings will be held on the third Thursday of each month. The board is expected to set their Committee of the Whole schedule at their regular board meeting next week.
