03/30/2020- Social distancing is a phrase we’ve been hearing and will likely continue to hear for some time now and it’s more important than ever following Marinette County’s first confirmed case of COVID-19. While the age and location of that resident hasn’t been released, Marinette County Public Health did say that person had been in contact with someone else confirmed to have the novel coronavirus. Public Health Officer Molly Bonjean is reminding residents to keep their distance from others during this time, as that’s one of the best defenses against catching the virus.
Bonjean says more than 60 people in Marinette County have been tested for COVID-19. The results of those are released by the Wisconsin DHS as they become available.
