11/25/2019- Unemployment in Marinette County fell back below four percent last month. Updated jobless figures show the local unemployment rate at  3.8% in October, as compared to the 4.1% rate from September. Last month’s unemployment numbers are, however, nearly a full percentage point higher than the 2.9% recorded in October of 2018. The statewide figures show unemployment across Wisconsin at about 2.8% last month. That’s nearly equal to the 2.9% seen in September and up from the 2.2% percent joblessness in the state one year ago.
