07/27/2018- Unemployment rose last month in Marinette County. Statistics from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development show June’s jobless rate came in at 4.4% as compared to 3.4% in May. Local unemployment one year ago stood at 4.6%. Statewide unemployment for June was at 3.4%. That’s up from 2.6% in May, but down slightly from 3.6% in June of 2017.
