Admitting the city probably went too far when they set maximums for freestanding signs in commercial, industrial, and institutional zoning districts, the Marinette City Council has approved increasing the maximum size from 24 to 144 square feet and the increasing the maximum height from 14 to 25 feet.
The changes will allow a request for a 70-square-foot sign for the new OSMS clinic at Marinette and Cleveland Avenues to be approved.
