08/07/2018- A new school year may be just around the corner, but there’s still plenty of summer fun to be had at Marinette’s annual Kids’ Day this Friday. This is the third year the city has hosted the event. Assistant Recreation Director Adrienne Lacy says the day includes free activities at various locations throughout Marinette including a nature hike, kiddie carnival, swimming, and much more.
Another new feature at this year’s Kids’ Day is a passport participants can get stamped at each of their stops throughout the day and then turn in for a chance to win prizes during the movie in the park. Lacy says Kids’ Day aims to remind youth they’re an important part of our community.
Lacy expects at least 200 children to take part in this year’s Marinette Kids’ Day. The event is open to kids of all ages, but is best suited for those between five and thirteen years old. For more information, contact the Marinette Recreation Department.
