At last nights Marinette School Board Meeting Superintendent Cory Lambie updated the board on the upcoming preliminary policies for the 2021 – 2022 school year which included the precautions the district will take regarding COVID-19 and its masking policy. Lambie says, “as of right now it’s July and a lot can change before September 1st, but the CDC’s guidance has loosened since where they were last year.”

Lambie says, “we are trying to serve our students as best as we can, we’re trying to keep our staff as healthy as we can keep them as we move through this process.”

The preliminary policy continues to state that face coverings are not required but students and staff may choose to wear them if they wish to do so. The district will also continue their daily and weekly cleaning routines as well as contact tracing and quarantining.
