11/22/2019- A budget for the new year is in place for the City of Marinette. Common Council held a special meeting yesterday to review the 2020 operational budget. They also considered the 2019 tax levy, which totals just over $17-million. Marinette’s Finance Director Jackie Miller says, with all taxing districts included, the levy increased by only about $0.15 per $1000 of assessed value. Both the tax levy and the budget were unanimously approved.
