At midnight tonight after 12 years in public office, Kenny Marks  will officially become a former Sheriff of Menominee County. In a statement, Marks says “Serving as your Sheriff has been a great honor for me. I have complete confidence that Sheriff Holmes, the Deputies and Staff of the Sheriff’s Office will carry on the tradition of excellence that has been in place since 1863 and thanks for your support.”

 

 

State Senator Dave Hansen (D-Green Bay) is also retiring from his Senate seat today and thanked the people of the 30th Senate District for their support over the past twenty years.

Hansen says it has been an honor and a privilege to serve the people of the 30th District and Northeast Wisconsin Hansen first  took office in January 2001

Before being elected to the State Senate Hansen served on the Brown County Board and worked as a truck driver for the City of Green Bay.

Republican Eric Wimberger will take over the District 30 seat in January.
