An audit report shows Menominee’s finances are in fair condition. Karen Kerber with KerberRose CPAs presented the report for the fiscal year ending in June of 2017 to the city’s Finance Committee Wednesday. She says governmental assets and liabilities for 2017 were roughly the same as they were in the previous fiscal year and Menominee maintained a healthy unassigned general fund balance.
Kerber did note that when it comes to Menominee’s Revolving Loan Fund, the city should make more of an effort to analyze existing loans and determine whether each is collectible or can be written off.
