The Menominee City Council gave final approval for a plan to replace the playground equipment at Water Tower Park.  The  new equipment will be installed this summer.  The $126,000 cost will come the Klar bequest.

The council also declared the old equipment at the playground to be surplus property and the city will take sealed bids from those interested in purchasing some or all of the equipment.

The council also set the rates for renting the new Beach House at Henes Park.  Monday through Thursday rentals will be $280 per day, and weekend and holiday rentals will be $375 per day. Two day weekday rentals will be $455 and $600 for weekend two day rentals.  All the fees include the cost of a professional cleaning.
