The Menominee Judicial and Legislative, Personnel and License Committee made a few changes to a draft of a revised Marijuana Ordinance.  The City Attorney revised the ordinance language after the city council voted to allow unlimited marijuana outlets instead of limiting the number of licenses to two retail outlet and two medical marijuana provisioning centers.  Among the changes made by the committee was also lifting the cap on  secure transporter and safety compliance facility licenses.  The city received no applications for those type of licenses, but uncapping the number will free the city from needing a competitive process to award licenses.  After discussing several other minor language changes, the committee recommended the revised ordinance to the City Council which will take it up at a special meeting June 29th, at which time a public hearing will be held on the proposed ordinance changes.
