You can enjoy a good breakfast and get up close and personal with some farm animals this weekend. The Menominee County Farm Bureau will host their annual Breakfast on the Farm Saturday at Brock Dairy Farms in Daggett. Peter Kleiman, Menominee County Farm Bureau President says the county was the first in the state to hold this type of event and it serves as an opportunity to teach guests more about how the food they find on the grocery store shelves ends up there.
The event will also feature a petting zoo, a chance to view the farm’s facilities and machinery, and an agriculture information booth. The breakfast is put on by volunteers and Kleiman says any profits go right back into agriculture promotion and education for local youth.
Menominee County Breakfast on the Farm runs from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM Central. The cost to attend is $7 for adults and $5 for kids under 12.
