07/30/2018- Menominee County saw a slight uptick in unemployment last month. June’s jobless rate came in at 4.4%. That’s slightly higher than the 4.2% recorded in May and 4.1% in June of 2017. The statewide level rose last month as well. At 4.3%, Michigan’s June unemployment rate is half a percentage point higher than the 3.8% seen in May. Joblessness in the state one year ago stood at 4.5%.
