09/05/2019- The Menominee Fire Department will be conducting fire hydrant flushing for the next few weeks to help maintain the water quality and to evaluate the amount of water available for fire fighting purposes. The flushing will be done South of 11th Avenue including all streets from 1st through 25th. Flushing will begin Monday September 9th and continue through Friday September 27th. During this time, residents may experience some discoloration of water and possibly lower than normal water pressure. While these conditions do not represent a health hazard, customers are cautioned to determine if their water is clear before washing clothes as staining may occur. City officials say if you experience discolored water, run the cold water in your faucets for about five to ten minutes.
