04/25/2019-Those in the running to represent the City of Menominee and its residents have been announced. Incumbent Jean Stegeman will run unopposed for the office of the Mayor this year. Trinidy McMahon, Jacqueline Nutter, and Kris Rusch have each declared their candidacy for the First Ward Council seat being vacated by Nick Malone. Unless one of those three withdraw their candidacy by tomorrow, a primary for that position will be held to narrow the field to two in August. In the Second Ward, Scott Christiansen will challenge current Council Member Steve Fifarek. Ed Smith is running against incumbent Dennis Klitzke for the Third Ward Council seat. And, in the Fourth Ward, Frank Pohlmann is running unopposed for another term. All of these positions are four-year terms. Menominee voters will head to the polls to decide on these races November 5th.
