05/24/2019- There will be plenty of activities honoring veterans in Menominee this Memorial Day. The Menominee American Legion will serve breakfast from 8:00 until 11:00 AM at their Post Homes. A service is being planned at the Birch Creek Cemetery starting at 7:00 AM. Additionally, the Veterans organization Color Guard, the Menominee High School Band, and the Post Auxiliaries will take part in an 8:45 march from the city’s Band Shell to Memorial Park where they’ll conduct a brief ceremony and the placing of the wreath on the water. The Menominee Veterans Council is encouraging families to attend these services to recognize those who lost their lives serving the county and reminds residents to display their flags this Memorial Day.
