Last night the Menominee School Board held an open house for the community to look at the shape of the buildings and get their questions answered about the upcoming referendum. Board Member Becky Thoune  says, “tonight we have tours of the boiler systems that are old and less efficient and the lighting systems that are not LED yet.”

Thoune  says, “these boilers that are here, and that have been here forever, at the high school have well outlived their life expectancy.”

The Menominee School Board has called for a special election on August 3,2021 where they will present a one-question bond referendum to voters in the amount of $12 million. This referendum aims to address the facility needs at the Junior and Senior High School. For more information about this referendum, you can go to their website
