Menominee Area Public Schools COVID numbers are declining after mandating masking took effect just shy of two weeks ago. In an update to the Menominee School Board on Monday evening Interim Superintendent Steve Martin says, “While Menominee County is running in the high category for COVID spread. The good news is that many of the staff and students’ quarantines are coming to an end from the previous mitigation plans so we should see a significant drop in quarantines.”

“Going forward we are going to use the same COVID testing protocol for staff as we do students,” says Martin.

The school district also has testing plans in place for three locations that they’ve been doing for a little less than a week now and will eventually bring on additional staff to help with COVID testing.
