Dozens of angry parents, teachers, and community members attended Tuesday evenings Menominee School Board meeting to voice their concerns and frustrations over student / staff safety and discipline practices at Central Elementary. School Board President Derek Butler says, “I whole heartedly understand their concern and these issues with behavior across districts in the United States continue to be a challenge for each district.”

Butler says, “overall the construction of the Junior/Senior High School has been frustrating for everybody involved. One of the greatest challenges we faced was remobilizing the contractors, finding the tools, and coordinating the remobilization through Sitelogic to get that project restarted.”

Updates regarding the status of the Junior/Senior High School will still be available on Facebook weekly for community members. Tentative in-school learning is set for January 16th.
