After interviewing two candidates, and then selecting one as a finalist, the Menominee School Board has selected the Menominee Area Public School District’s next superintendent. The board selected Richard Sarau for the position. School Board President Derek Butler says, “I feel very confident that Mr. Sarau is the right person for the job.”

Butler says, “the process for any board to hire a superintendent is a great honor.”

The school board engaged an outside entity to help them ensure that this was a fair process. Butler says, “the board had a plan on who and what type of candidate we wanted, and we could execute that plan.” Sarau  start date is unknown but is expected to be soon.
