The City of Menominee has announced that the switch to cart pick for trash and recycling will begin the week of March 11th. The city’s new contract with GFL requires the transition from bag pickup to cart pickup. The carts for trash and recycling will be delivered to customers during the week of March 4th. Flyers will be delivered with the carts with all the information you’ll need, including any new day of pickup if there is a change, where carts should be placed, and a calendar with when recycling will be picked up and when holidays will affect pickup. There will also be information on what can and cannot be recycled, and an FAQ page. Carts must be placed curbside the night before collection day, or prior to 6am on collection day. Flyers are also available at City Hall, and the City’s Webpage will soon be updated with the information. If you have questions after you receive your carts and flyers, please call city hall at 906-863-2656.
