09/07/2018- Local law enforcement and the public will the hit the pavement together this weekend for the Menominee Police Department’s sixth annual Torch Run. The 5K run/walk will be held Sunday, September 9th beginning at the Menominee Police Department. Detective Sergeant Jason McGhee says the event benefits both local athletes and those from across the state participating in Special Olympics Michigan.
McGhee says on average, the local Law Enforcement Torch Run raises about $500 each year for Special Olympics Michigan. The cost to take part in the run is $25 per person. Registration begins at 4:30 Sunday afternoon and the run starts at 5:00.
