Menominee’s municipal general election Tuesday could bring some new faces to City Hall come January, as voters decide who will lead the City of Menominee through the next term as mayor and weigh in on four contests for the city council. The two mayoral candidates on ballot are incumbent Mayor Jean Stegeman and Casey Hoffman. The contested alderperson races are in Ward 1, incumbent Jackie Nutter challenged by Cheryl Haupt and in Ward 3, incumbent Kris Rusch is challenged by former 2nd ward Alderperson Steve Fifarek.

In addition to the city races, voters in the city and across the county are being asked to renew for 6 years 1.7671 mill levy to fund the Menominee County Sheriff’s Emergency Response and 24 hour Road Patrol Services.

Voting begins tomorrow at 7am in the Menominee Senior High School.
