Governor Gretchen Whitmer has announced new coronavirus restrictions go into effect this week to help curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state. Beginning Wednesday, bars and restaurants will be open for outdoor dining and carry-out or delivery only, colleges and high schools must transition to remote learning, gyms must suspend group exercise classes, non-tribal casinos and theaters will close, and organized sports will be canceled expect for professional and college levels meeting extraordinary standards for risk mitigation.
