02/05/2020- For residents in need, the price of a tank of gas is no small thing, and a grant from the M-and-M Area Community Foundation will help more women in our area get to where they’re headed. The Salvation Army of Marinette received $2,000 for the “Women on the GO!” program from the Women’s Giving Circle Endowment Fund held at the Community Foundation. “Women on the GO!” aims to meet transportation needs by providing gas cards to women in Marinette and Menominee Counties and the grant funds will support women who are in need of help getting to work, getting their children to school, making it to medical appointments, or other emergency situations. The Women’s Giving Circle Endowment Fund is designated for projects and programs which address issues directly impacting women and girls throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties.
