10/30/2019- A judge has ruled that dismemberment evidence in the murder of a Yankton, South Dakota woman whose remains were dumped in Menominee Township can be used in the upcoming trial of the suspect in her murder. A motions hearing was held Monday for 45-year-old Stephen Falkenberg, also of Yankton, who has pleaded not guilty to killing 46-year old Tamara LaFramboise in March. While Falkenberg’s attorney sought to exclude the evidence of LaFramboise’s dismemberment from the case, saying it happened days after the murder and did not serve to show intent, that motion was ultimately denied. Falkenberg is believed to have killed LaFramboise during an argument and then transported her body to Menominee County where he disposed of it in the Little River.
