Some call Marinette the Walleye fishing capital of Wisconsin, and rightfully so. With pristine waters surrounding the city, why not have three tournament headliners come our way? City of Marinette Executive Director of Recreation and Events Gavin Scray says, “this summer we have three professional fishing tournaments coming into town.”

Scray says, “our goal is to promote fishing in our area, promote our waterfront activities, and really want to let the public know that these anglers will be in town and we’d like for them to come back year after year.”

Menekaunee Harbor will be tournament headquarters for each of the three events. When the anglers launch, they will use various launches throughout the city and beyond. At the conclusion of each tournament, they will return to Menekaunee Harbor. For updates about the upcoming National Fishing Tournaments, follow the City of Marinette on Facebook.
