The body of an Illinois hunter missing since November 20th was discovered in the Cedar River Saturday afternoon. Menominee Sheriff Michael Holmes says deputies were dispatched to a location about a mile north of the Cedar River Campground after a 9-1-1 call at 3:45pm reporting a body floating in the river. Deputies confirmed a body was stuck in a group of ice shoves. The body was retrieved by ice and swift water rescue personnel from the Mellen and Cedarville Township Fire Departments. The body was identified as 58 year old Vladmir Ivanovic. There were no signs of foul play and the Assistant Medical Examiner ruled the death a cold water drowning.
