COVID Vaccinations are starting to be administered in the area. Marinette County Public Health Officer discussed the process with the County’s Human Services Board. Currently the vaccination program is in phase 1A, with healthcare providers and residents of long-term care facilities being the first to receive the vaccine.  But who will be included in the next phase, 1B is still unclear.  Bonjean says the Federal  Advisory Committee on Immunization practices has recommended that persons 75 and older and frontline essential workers be in the next phase, but Wisconsin’s State Disaster Medical Advisory Committee has yet to announce who will be in phase 1B in Wisconsin.   Bonjean said Marinette County Public Health does not currently have a waiting list for the vaccine.

Public Health will alert the public when they are ready to dispense vaccines.  Information on the vaccine program can be found on the COVID information page on the Marinette County Website.
