Renovations on the former Marinette County law enforcement center are nearly complete and employees are expected to begin relocating there in the coming weeks. County Administrator John Lefebvre provided an update on the multi-million dollar project’s progress this week, saying the second floor of the facility is complete, while work is still being finished up in other areas of the building. The original substantial completion date for the project was set for October 31st, but Lefebvre did say that the coronavirus pandemic caused some delays, which has now pushed that date back that to around November 12th.

Once it’s finished, the Marinette County Resource Center will house several County departments, including some offices that are currently located at the NWTC- Marinette campus. The facility will also sport a new green roof which will be accessible for County employees during break periods and could be opened up for public access in the future. Lefebvre expects they’ll begin moving employees into the new space by mid-November.
