The hustle and bustle of holiday shopping may actually involve a lot less hustle this year as retailers look for ways to avoid the typical large crowds the season previously encouraged and one local campaign is getting on board with the trend of a more casual shopping experience. Home for the Holidays, hosted by inVenture North, the Stephenson National Bank & Trust, and Bay Cities Radio, is a collective effort to celebrate small business while allowing stores to hold their individual sales and events when and how they want to. Laura Rowe with Stephenson National Bank and Trust says 2020 has been especially hard on small business and the holiday shopping season could be a make-or-break situation for a lot of them.
And shoppers will be able see in real time which businesses are participating and what events are happening near them through the brand new Invent Your North app and website. Roberta Davis is part of the inVenture North Marketing and Community Development division.
