A Wisconsin man will serve time in prison for a repeat drunk driving conviction in Menominee County. 60-year-old Donald Nichols of Janesville was arrested in August of 2019 after authorities found him passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle at the intersection of West Drive and 18th Avenue in Menominee. Nichols admitted he had been consuming alcohol all day and a blood draw following his arrest showed his BAC at 0.19. He pleaded guilty in September to one count of operating while intoxicated, third or subsequent offense and was sentenced last week in Menominee County Court to two to five years in prison. This is Nichols’ sixth drunk driving offense on record.
