04/03/2020- One local business leader is supporting those out of work due to the coronavirus and boosting other businesses in the process. Justin Oberg is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones in Peshtigo and tagged his office door with dozens of gift cards to area restaurants this week. They were there for the taking, no questions asked, to any of his clients or residents who had been laid off or had their hours cut during this pandemic. Oberg says in a time when nearly every industry is taking a hit, he hoped his small gesture might provide a little bit of relief.
Oberg had a stockpile of gift cards and replaced the ones that were taken from his business while his supplies lasted. He said all of the certificates were claimed in about two days.
