As the demand for COVID-19 vaccines at community clinics drops off, the Marinette County Public Health Clinic at the UWGB Marinette Field House will be closing on May 25th. Marinette County Public Health Officer Molly Bonjean says the next phase will be switching to a rural outreach.  There was a clinic held in Niagara in April, and now the County is talking with Prevea about doing clinics in other areas of the county, perhaps in conjunction with some of the rural employers.  In the meantime, Prevea, like other providers, will be offering vaccination at their Marinette Clinic.

Bonjean said there was a slight uptick in the number of COVID cases in Marinette County. Last week the average of new cases per day was 5, compared to 1 or 2 a month ago.  The growth on cases seem to be in teens and adults under 30.
