At a special meeting Tuesday, the Marinette Plan Commission made two recommendations to the City Council.

The first is to change the zoning of a house located east of the Medical Clinic Building at Shore Drive and University Drive.   The house was originally zoned residential. But had been changed to Institutional and Public Service when it was converted into a medical clinic.  Now, Bellin Health, which currently owns the building wants to sell it as a residence.

The Plan Commission also recommended that “Tobacco and Pipe Shop” be added as a permitted use in B-1 Local Shopping and B-4 Highway business districts.  It currently is a permitted use in other business districts.  The change is requested to accommodate a Green Bay based business which wishes to add a location in Marinette.
